Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie

Product name: Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie

Price: forgot already, bought from Watson's at Queensbay Mall. 10% discount :D

Selling points:
- keeps shine at bay while keep your dry skin area hydrated
- helps your foundation lasts longer

The functions:
- makeup base

My Problem:
- not much problem really, except that makeup tend to get cakey on my nose after an hour or so =__= I got combination skin. Dry cheeks except for the nose, which is oily.

Review:
Can't detect any scent. Light texture but after applying on skin, it acts like a smooth layer to prepare for applying foundation.

I tried it with BB cream: It does help to prevent the BB cream to cake up on my oily nose, awesome! But I still need to blot the nose after a while.

Also tried with powder foundation: Usually the powder will feel exactly like powder on the skin, and then the powder won't last long. After a while all gone =__= But after I apply this product then use powder foundation, the foundation feels silky smooth on the skin, the difference is obvious. Makeup last so much longer than usual. SOmehow my nose is not as oily as when I use BB cream.

Verdict:
Good value for money in my opinion. Only a small amount (about a pea size) needed. The packaging is so cute and the product works well to help my makeup last so much longer, without having to reapply again so frequently. In fact, I think it helps my makeup last almost whole day :D

I never tried other makeup base before so can't compare with others. :P

Neutrogena Fine Fairness Serum Part 1

Product name: Neutrogena Fine Fairness Serum
Start Day: 22/6/2009

Price: RM79.90, bought from Watson's at Queensbay Mall. Heard that it's sold out at Watson's Mid Valley hahaha! Should I stock up on this? :P

Selling points:
- Contains retinol to enhance cell regeneration, stimulate collagen and refine skin. Niacinamide (vit B3) and ascorbyl glucoside to inhibit melanin production and whitens skin.
- non comedogenic (doesn't clog pores), oil free, alcohol free
- the bottle comes with a open/close mechanism which is to maintain the efficiency of the serum :D

The functions:
Whitens skin tone

My Problem:
pigmentation on cheeks T.T

Review:
slight floral scent, smells pleasant. Absorbs immediately into skin. Leaves skin feeling smooth :D It has a slight tingling effect after a few seconds which indicates the product is working. And yes the tinging effect goes away pretty fast without causing any sensitivity on your skin. I use 2 pumps since my pigmentation is real bad. And yeah, it still absorbs into my skin pretty well.

Will most likely buy it again after finish this bottle, coz I love the fast absorption and my face is really smooth after use it. Unless there's another wayyyy better product out there. But for drugstore range, this price is pretty good already.

Things I want to try:
Neutrogena Fine Fairness Deep Whitening Mask
Olay Whitening Mask

Bangkok Botanica Cybele Bellance part 2

Part 1 read here: LINK

I had finally finished my first tube of Cybele Bellance. To my dismay, it didn't work as claimed.
There might be some lightening on my brown spots, but not significant enough.

To justify the inefficiency, I always use sunblock. And my sunblock is Sunplay SPF47 PA+++ with whitening functions too (The one with pink cap). If the product can't deliver even after I use sunblock, well, that's pretty much sums up how "good" the product is.

And to prove that my sunblock does a good job, the colour difference between my face (with sunblock applied everyday) and my arms (no sunblock whatsoever) is very obvious.

Summary: Cybele Bellance doesn't work on me T.T

I have tried quite some spot correctors and whitening serums. So far the ones that work for me is Lancome Spot Corrector (cost Rm300, insane!). I have tried HABA, Biotherm, Origins, Za, Olay, Loreal. Either they don't work, or they cause other skin problems. >.<

I have never used Neutrogena Fine Fairness range though I love their Skin Clearing range to bits. And one of the skincare reviewers in Msia, Plue, raves about this Neutrogena Fine Fairness Serum. It wasn't available previously here, but today I finally spotted this goodie in Watsons. :D

The price is Rm79.90 baby. That's like a bomb ok? Luckily for any purchase of their products over Rm45 I can get a goodie pack of their sunblock + cleanser. Trial pack lah of course. But better than nothing at all.

Total damages for today:
1) Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie - rave reviews by various people. I got combination skin so I think this product will help my makeup last longer (I don't makeup daily but during special occasions lah)
2) Clean and Clear Oil Control Film - best oil blotting paper I used so far, I love their great oil absorption and soft non-paper like texture.
3) Neutrogena Fine Fairness serum

Free stuffs I got today:
1) Small size Nivea body Extra whitening milk repair - from Guardian
2) Free trial pack from Neutrogena

tesco foods

do you ever buy those products made by tesco itself?

I did. I tried their turkish delight chocolate specially for christmas. I bpught their powder soup sachets in various flavours. Right now i'm munching on their version of chips.

honestly, al of them tasted below my expectations. The chocolate slices were stuck together, the soups either gave me mild stomach upset or just tasted weird, and the chips, some were too salty and some were too bland.

in short, dont go for tesco foods unless you prefer price over taste.

SG trip Day 1

Reached SG about 7 something in the morning, stopped at Beach Road. The bus I took is Grassland, tickets bought from Konsortium. Executive coach btw, it's real comfy! With extended leg room, tv at own seat, reading lights, and extra blanket :D

I changed my clothes in public toilet then carry all my bags: backpack and handbag, and started off my backpack trip with buying the tourist pass :D unlimited rides on MRT and buses for 3 days, woohoo! Very useful when I'm going to get lost on my own :P
then first thing I do is go for breakfast! I downloaded the list of recommended hawker foods in SG from their tourism website. This stall took me over 1 hour to find =__= It's located at Chinatown, one of the local residential hawker centers.

ok, I don't like the noodles, but I like the clear soup plus the ingredients inside: fried pork lard, vege, dried squid, mushrooms, minced pork etc. I think this dish is MSG free, coz I don't feel much thirsty afterwards.

After the meal I went off to Raffles Places. Most of the historical buildings + monuments seemed to be located in that area :D

Along the banks of the river that runs through Cavanagh Bridge. Behind the banking buildings such as Maybank and StanChart:

Bronze Statues in front of the Cavanagh bridge and Fullerton Hotel :D

Views along the Cavanagh Bridge:

LOLcat statues! :D Can you think of a caption?

bronze statues of kids jumping off into the river, very lifelike and amusing :D
Boat trips for the tourists:

Skyscrapers along the river:

Fullerton Hotel:

Along the banks near the Cavanagh Bridge :)
Dalhousie Obelisk

The Victoria Theatre
Statue of Stamford Raffles: Founder of SG

The Old parliament house:
Elephant statue to commemorate first visit by Thai King in SG.

The old Supreme Court: most beautiful and elegant building in this area. I was awestruck by it's architecture and delicate carvings on the walls. It's going to be a museum soon.

Carvings depicting the lives of farmers :D

Then off to St Andrew's Cathedral, I sure am having good luck because it's open to public today! :D Finally get to see how's the inside look like. The church is quiet, there are some people sitting inside, praying maybe? Rows of chairs with shelves full of various prints of bibles on it. So this is how a cathedral looks like.

Lunch: Famous chicken rice stall that is visited by Anthony Bourdain :D located at the Maxwell Food Centre.
Do you notice Anthony Bourdian's review at the top right corner below the signboard?
The chicken rice: chicken is chewy, rice is very fragrant but not soft. Chilli is not spicy. Overall ok lah, but I prefer my chicken rice to be softer.
A bread stall in the same food court, haha! :D
Along the way back to MRT :D
After Lunch took a long MRT ride to meet up with my friend. She's finally off work.

Dinner: Had DeliFrance with my friend at the Woodland's shopping mall. It was ok except that we found a fly in her drink, eek! So the drink has to be changed. =___= Afterwards we had the Choc Frapuccino at McCafe, that was yummy you know, why we never have any McCafe in Msia??? :(

That's all for Day 1. My shoulders are killing me because of carrying the backpack for whole day, and walk around everywhere somemore >.<

I love this test

Facebook's got plenty of funny and quirky psychological tests around, but this one I like the best so far.

What is the theme song of ur life??? quiz and the result is "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield

The I-Live-Life-To-The-Fullest-And-I-Am-HAPPY type! You live life to the max, and you live each day like its your last. You forget the rules and just go for it, and want to experience it all before it all disappears... Your life is a book... and your writing it! Love it, make it, work it, and shape it... you make it what YOU want! Don't forget a happy ending though!

Spot on! :D

Feeling so ..... emo

I just finished the latest book in the True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse series: Dead and Gone

If anyone of you love the Sookie Stackhouse series as well, you can get the free ebook copies here:
http://telailovestoread.wordpress.com/2009/05/24/charlaine-harris-sookie-stackhouse-series/

I think they are simply awesome supernatural reads, if you like this genre of books ;-)

Not to mention the sexy + steamy bedroom scenes written inside, not gross but very very sexy in a way, hah! I much preferred reading sex scenes than watching RedTube.com. And FYI, I don't find porno exciting after a few videos, and I have quit RedTube ever since :/ No no I'm not trying to be uptight here, I enjoy my romps, but funny though I don't enjoy porn, hmmmmmm.....

Ok wayyy too much information, back to the book.

So in the latest book, Sookie Stackhouse is in mortal peril once again, i.e. death threats posed by human and supernatural beings. This time she is stuck in war between faes, and more people around her died. Personally I find that a very depressing thing to happen, people you know keep dying in every possible situation. Her ex, vampire Bill, risked his "life" to save her, and Eric, her vampire "husband" (though Sookie was married to him in vampire fashion without her knowing it) just couldn't be there in time to save him. I was really depressed when I read the part that Bill's almost a goner. I loveeeeeee vampire Bill. Thank god Charlainne Harris decided to keep him alive, at least he will still be around in the next book. >_<

My god, who will Sookie be with in the end? Bill? Eric? Sam? Or somebody else?
Eric's pretty, and he's practical. He pay notice to Sookie's financial needs (without her asking money from him). And he's powerful, he can send him minions over to protect her.
Bill's incredibly caring. He watches over her. Although he betrayed her previously and almost went back with his old flame. And he didn't fell for Sookie in the first place but rather due to orders by Sophie-Anne LeClere. But he's trying to win her heart back. In every possible way. And he's trying his best t make amends of whatever hurt he gave Sookie previously.
Sam, I think, is best left as Sookie's big brother figure. All the vibes I pick up in the book is more on Sam caring for Sookie more like a big brother, rather than a secret admirer.
The rest of the guys, well, not significant enough compared to the 3 of them.

And I know there's quite some critics that bomb this book for being too short, well yeah, kinda. Especially the part on the fae war, over too soon and too easily. Claudine is gone just like that? WTF?! Worst of all, Niall's pretty useless in protecting Sookie in the fae war. Lousy great grandfather, won't you say? But I do enjoyed the book almost as much as the previous books. I swear.

And btw, Border's having a "3 for 2" sale right now, the whole Sookie Stackhouse series is on sale! For the price of 2 books, you can get an additional book (lowest price of the three) for free! I'm gonna get them as soon as my financial state allows it :D
